Fulgor Milano range top, oven
Comments (0)So, I am pretty sure I'm going to take a chance on the 30" Fulgor Milano 600 Series gas range top. Feature-wise, it seems like the best fit for me. (Though if anyone has this, I am curious what the distance between burners might be.) Now I need to settle on a wall oven, and am toying with further chancing the Fulgor Milano brand for a 30" wall oven. They really seem nice. Any one have one, or looked at them? I am wondering about interior oven dimensions and the loudness of the alarms/beeps. Also, any warranty info? The 400, 600 and 700 Series models all seem to be contenders. Thank you for any input for folks who have purchased or seriously considered!...See MoreFulgor Milano Sophia F6PDP30S1 Wall Oven Experiences
Comments (25)Janelle, I get emails when there are posts to this old thread! And I do understand what one goes through trying to buy something for their home that is not cheap or easily "fixed" if it doesn't go as desired, coupled with the fact there really is no easy way to try before you buy. That was what we waded through, coupled with the Covid restrictions going on at the time. The first truth in this is, it is an oven :) I learned to tell myself that anyways. I certainly will not say anything negative about any other wall ovens given I have no experience with them. When I found Fulgor Milano, I had never heard of them but they looked interesting. We had briefly looked into the Blue Star oven BUt it weighs nearly 700 pounds, and that was simply too much extra stuff for me to want to deal with. The Fulgor is built very solid and has weight. Some of the things we liked right way were perhaps simple things. The interface is very clean and simple. Even easy to set the clock! It preheats quickly ( 7 minutes to 350 ). The front glass never gets hot regardless of internal temperature. The soft close doors are a nice touch but certainly not required. I did find the interior doors to be nice given they are seamless.. no gaps like others had where crude and gunk was certain to fill. I also wanted to stay away from touchscreens or other small computerized screen devices. having an LCD screen sittign above the exhaust from a 400 degree oven seemed a surefire way to kill an LCD screen. Not to mention will that screen be around if the oven is still runing in 12 years. That though is a very perosnal choice as you or others may prefer that. I am fearful to say this but we have had the oven for quite a while now.. it gets used several times weekly, and to date no issues. Both of us remain impressed by the same things that impressed us to start with. Fit and finish is excellent, and everything just works without a fight. We will be buying a Fulgor Milano cooktop before the year's end. I am certain there are many models that would work well for most of us. i certainly will not say the FM is the end all be all of ovens. That said, if I had it to do all over again, I would buy the same oven. It hits well above its price point. Good luck and hope this helps a bit. In the end , it will still remain a gamble of sorts. we gambled on Fulgor and thus far it has paid off very well. I was a bit nervous though to be honest given i knew nothing about the brand and it is not ahosuehold name in the US. John...See MoreFulgor-Milano products
Comments (6)@nwmoxie, whereabout are you in the USA? I live in Texas and I'm considering a 24" Fulgor Milano wall oven, but I'm concerned that I won't be able to get parts or service in the US. Also how old was your fridge when it needed service? Are you still happy with your purchase? Honest question. No snark. Trying to buy smart....See MoreBertazzoni vs Fulgor Milano
Comments (11)@cerienawasmycreation In the end, 1100$ of savings pushed me towards the Bertazzoni. I took my wife to the only store with both on display and while she spent most of the process in the "yea that's a stove too" mindset in terms of opinion, seeing the FM and Bertazzoni in person made her really favor the bertazzoni. Comparing the two side by side, they are both clearly quality builds by appearance, but the Bertazzoni is definitely a looker. It's counter depth, classical styling, and built with aesthetics in mind. The FM has a very prominent, large, and kind of attention drawing square logo, as well as the digital screen. I'd definitely be happy with it, and it's far from ugly, but the Bertazzoni is just such a step up aesthetically. People say it isn't a cooker, but I cook literally every single night on it and it's a beast. Heats quickly and evenly in the oven, while the gas range is quick, responsive, easy to use, and I've never been happier. Super easy to clean as well. Cast iron griddle accessory (~250$) is great in the center, the soft open/close oven is amazing and the soft slide bearings are helpful. It also came with a drip tray and what looks to be a digital thermometer attachment that I'm not quite sure how to use but haven't felt like figuring out/calling in about. If you do get the griddle accessory, it rests atop the grate; not in place of it. If anyone is looking, I bought from Ed Kellum & Sons, and they were 20% cheaper than anyone else offered. At first when I checked, they said it could be here by end of June when I needed it (ordered in mid-May), but then received an automated update for mid August instead. I called in and my sales rep said he'd check on it. When I asked Capital Distributing if they had a better lead time (because they said come back with any other prices and they'd match), they said they couldn't beat that price and I should definitely stick with them. Luckily, EKS got back and swapped my order with one from a builder lot, since they love sticking these in high end apartments. Had mine about 2 1/2 months with no issues until yesterday, when the temperature dial appears to have inverted. So it rests at the high end of the range and then starts to travel further right as temp increases. That makes it slightly difficult to know where the temp is at, but if you're preheating your oven you still get the beeps letting you know when it works. I need to call in and get that fixed because it seems like an install error. Overall I can't compare it to a mielle or a thermador or a wolf that I haven't used. I can say that I am very satisfied with it and have very few complaints....See Morecoray
