Half Dead - is not 'Dead' according to a Greenwich CT nursery.
Comments (2)At home depot I saw an herbicide called "total vegetation killer" I'd water (very carefully) with that. The contaiminated soil should be dug up with the tree. I've heard the "if the tree is still alive inside it will recover" thing before. It just isn't true....See MoreLooking for Pocket Doors - Top half window, bottom half panel
Comments (4)You will be able to find exactly what you want on the TruStile website. They have a very usable door designer application. They do MDF as well as just about any wood you want. You can specify sticking, panel designs, and even the glass. When you order the door from your local TruStile rep, just specify a door blank and then your builder will hang it on the Pocket Door track. Make sure you get the weight of the door blank so your builder gets the correct hardware. Here is a link that might be useful: TruStile Glass Doors...See MoreTop half / bottom half
Comments (10)i mail ordered half of my 5 acres ... thats not the issue ... presuming you used a good source ... is it on the north side of the black top ... without snow cover ... and constant cold.. winter sun on blacktop ... can make a plant go in and out of dormancy ... and that is extremely bad ... get it dormant.. keep it dormant ... if my theory is supported ... on sunny winter days.. the top of the tree was warming too much.. too often.. when the tree was supposed to be dormant ... even if the top half is dead ... the rest.. if the roots settle in .. being a maple.; could take off like no tomorrow ... its not a goner.. unless your personality dictate it will drive you insane.. lol .. if so.. get rid of it ... in adrian MI .. the trees are barely leafing out.. i know metro detroit is ahead of us ... but you are way to anxious to come to any conclusions as to how they are doing... give them both at least a month or 2 before you come to any conclusions ... i am not aware of any soil issue in SE MI .... ken...See MoreWallpaper removal fail. What to do if the wallpaper comes off uneven?
Comments (12)Sorry to hear about your experience. Mine is/was similar. I found several layers of wallpaper, with a skim coat in between, and then under that, it seems to have been applied directly to drywall. I have removed a lot of wallpaper in the past, but I ended up damaging the drywall in one room so badly, we decided to hire someone. I had several contractors come through who looked at the amount of wallpaper and wouldn't do it! One guy was willing and he starts this morning so I will see what magic he uses. If he has any tips, I will share....See MoreJAN MOYER
